WHAT DOES GOD WANT YOU TO DO?

If you watch people who are fulfilling God's purpose in their life, you will notice that their motivation is high. They have amazing endurance to overcome obstacles. They are always growing and learning. There's real joy in what they do.

It amazes other people how faithful Christians breeze through life --- in good time, and in bad times. Having a strong faith in God is a key that really lifts them up in life. And having defined their life's purpose in tune with God is the one thing that keeps them going.

There are actually many people who go through life without discovering God's purpose for their life. Life just goes on and on without you knowing it. And there's no despair or sadness in not realizing it at all. Yet, to miss out on your life's purpose is to miss out on why God created you.

Whether your job is in a church or in a business enterprise, we were all created with a purpose. Along with that purpose, should we discover it, are gifts from God that would guide us in living the life He planned for us. Yes, we were gifted and called by God. If only people could realize this they would enjoy a more blessed life and take their assignments from God seriously!

Here are some questions to help you find your life's assignment:

What are the "raw materials" available? God has given you a certain temperament and talents, and you have to honor your raw material.

What unlocks your compassion? It's quite amazing to realize that sometimes the problem that infuriates you most is the problem you were born to solve.

Why do I do this? There's a big difference between doing something because you believe God has called you to do it, versus doing what your parents, your friends or your ego wants you to do.

What are my limitations? Knowing what you're called to do often starts with discovering what you're not called to do. When you can accept your limitations, you're on the road to understanding your life's assignment.
So let's be clear: you have an assignment. It has to do with what God hard-wired into you. You must seek it with an open mind. When people pretend to be something they're not, they live with a chronic sense of inadequacy and set themselves up for a lifetime of frustration. Don't do that. Be ruthlessly open to the truth about yourself. Your life's assignment is something you discover, not something you choose.

Share and Feel the True Spirit of Christmas

(A theological reflection of reaching-out our brethren in Umapad Dumpsite)

Sitting before the TV and seeing on the screen which featured the landscapes, the rivers, lakes and mountains, and seeing the winding roads and skyscrapers spread out over the earth. I have wondered why there were people living in poverty. How they would survive in the smoky mountain of garbage. The astronauts seeing over the blue planet from their space shuttle were so overwhelmed by them to believe that its inhabitants were people having hard time to find what to eat each day.

Distance sometime helps us t get a sharper vision of our human condition and to raise some very good critical questions! Let us take a look at our world not from a distance but from the actual experiences of the lives of our brethren. Let us look at the lives of our scavengers (brothers and sisters) in Umapad dumpsite, Mandaue City.

Jesus always looked at the human condition and tried to teach us to look as he did. I had been in Umapad dumpsite for an apostolate imparting the words and love of God. The lives there were too familiar to me because I had been a scavenger once. I met Cerilo and Crystal, both of them were scavengers. There were living together without the sacrament of matrimony yet besides were blessed with two kids; Cyril Mae, three years old and Salvino, eight months old. Salvino has newly recovered from dengue and still suffering another ailment, two months cough without taking any prescribe medicine. His malnourish child and need help for fast recovery.

Moreover, the family came from a catholic genealogy and despite of their own hardships in life, I haven’t heard any single words of regret during our conversation. They were contented of what they have. Neither day nor night Cerilo managed well his time from digging some salable materials in the garbage, to his piggery and then to have quality time of his family. Undeniably, the common ailments of the community are cough and asthma due to smoke from the dumpsite. However, the rest of the people there are untidy or without proper hygiene but healthy.

On the second day of our apostolate, the family was surprisingly received the groceries upon handed it over. I’ve seen no lack of hesitation of my fellow seminarians in helping others. In brief, I had seen only people filled with God’s love. This is God’s wish for us to serve through love in action. Jesus Christ gave us a beautiful blue print for sharing. He shared his body to us in the mystery of the Eucharist. Share and feel the true spirit of Christmas not only at this season but each day of our lives by giving love and time to others as we imitate the love of Christ to us.

Sony Ericsson teams up with SM and Unicef in campaign

YOU may not be an A-list star hounded by paparazzi and admirers alike, but thanks to a new campaign by Sony Ericsson and SM Malls, your smiles can still command a seven-figure sum.
Launched last week, “Spread the Smiles” aims to collect a million smiles to raise P1 million. The fund will then be donated to United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) to support the organization’s local initiatives for primary education.
Patrick Larraga, marketing manager for Sony Ericsson, said the campaign hopes to attract 1 million smiles before its deadline on June 30.

He said Sony Ericsson will donate P1 for every smile collected in Sony Ericsson “smile booths.” Meanwhile, a P20 donation will give donors a Digiprint photo printout, raffle ticket to win a Sony Ericsson C150 Cyber-shot phone and a spot in the Smile Wall, which will rise in SM City North Edsa Sky Garden Bridgeway.

He said smile booths are located within Sony Ericsson Experience shops in 17 malls all over the country. Partner SM Malls include SM North Edsa, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, SM Cebu, SM Davao, SM Iloilo, SM Pampanga, SM Baguio and SM Manila.

“This campaign goes toward our efforts in early education,” said Vanessa Tobin, Unicef country representative. Tobin said the current primary school completion rate hovers around 70 percent, and the drop-out number is still “high.”

She said the campaign will help Unicef with its projects spread in 19 provinces and five cities which, Tobin said, range from the Cordillera Administrative Region in north to Northern Mindanao and Caraga regions. Ensuring that boys and girls around the world will be able to complete their primary education is one of the UN’s eight Millennium Development Goals due in 2015.

The event also served to highlight mobile phones equipped with Sony Ericsson Smile Shutter technology, a feature which focuses on a subject’s smile before taking the picture.
“Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot phones with Smile Shutter are perfect for capturing those smiles, storing those smiles and spreading those smiles for others to enjoy,” said Larraga in a statement. Sony Ericsson phones carrying this feature are the 3.2-megapixel C510, 8.1-megapixel C905 and the 5-megapixel C903, which the company said will be launched soon.

Reminiscing the time

Way back at the age of eleven, I had been a scavenger once. I remember one time that I ate food thrown into the garbage because of hunger. And the money I earned from the scrapped materials I picked up supported me in my studies until I completed high school. Then, I was employed in Gaisano main as Janitor after my contract...I was accepted in UTA as production operator then promoted to Lead operator, then after 8 years became an engineering aide then to process engineer and finally to program management position as Car Leader.

Pass the words game

Pass the words to the group using any sign language. This was taken during the engineering strategic planning (2008) held in Ecotech Center, Lahug.

FACTS THAT WE CANNOT HIDE

With this paradoxical reality in our life. We need again to be empowered by the Lord's words as we meet the daily struggle in life. Although sometimes we feel that our own boat is sinking that our EFFORTS are FRUITLESS let us listen to the words of Jesus inspiring to go on with the hope that God will use of shortage, limitations to bring about the miracle in our life. We have to be men and women of hope. Let us focus on the positive side of life.

We have Skyscrapers and industrialized zone but squatters are scattered within the city, you will seen them in reclamation area, underneath the bridges and seasides.Street children - lack of education and care

many young adults are jobless

Insane men possibly due to depression or taking illegal drugs are oftenly seen in the street. Government is lack of program of taking care of them. Houses on riverside - Squatters
Despite the hardship still Filipinos are religious. One thing that I've learned is a man became dependent on God when he had problems.Begging is their profession - i think they will brainwash their children that this job is easy and effortless.

WHY I WISH TO BECOME A PRIEST

I guess my first thought of becoming a Priest was when I was in grade school. I didn’t exactly know what priesthood means but I really wanted to wear that white habit. I am a devotee to Sr. Sto. Niño and regularly I attended mass on Sabbath day. In our sitio, I led all young children in our community bringing with us the statue of Sr. Sto. Niño and Blessed Virgin Mary to neighboring households for a visit and pray the Holy Rosary.

My first inkling that God called me was when I was in senior high school. One day during our religion class, we had seminarian visitors who talked about Priesthood life. I was really struck by the lyrics of the song “Here I am” which they had played. “I, who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright, who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send?” In that instance, I felt a passionate desire to follow Him, and be the instrument that will bear His light upon His people.

For me, being a religious is to continue to walk the steps of Jesus Christ on earth. Becoming a priest is just like Martha’s sister – Mary who chose the right path which is to sit beside the Lord at His feet and listen to Him speak. That is what I want to be, to live life with a purpose, to do something great for God and to answer His call and say “Here I am, Lord!”

Remarks During Summer Culminating Affair 2009

Why I have enrolled in Speech Arts Center?

I believe that every human life has a God-given purpose. I want my life to be significant and pleasing before God and that is to bear the light of Jesus to the world filled with darkness.

To become a priest is to preach the good news and preaching is to communicate well to people of all races. But how could I communicate the world if I do not know the basic construction of sentences in English and the correct pronunciation of words?

God is good! He led me the way to Speech Arts Center to learn. Thanks to Mrs. Villa, who’s patiently imparted her knowledge to us. At my age, I should go to great lengths to learn. If God permits if I can study again this next semester, I shall do it. I’m looking forward to leading our lost brothers and sisters before to God especially reaching out to someone who doesn’t know about Him.

Again, thank you Madam Villa, for sharing your love and knowledge in English. I will never forget your kindness. I will continue praying that God may shower His blessings upon you and to the rest of your family. By then, a lot of people who have difficulty in English may blessed by the gifts you have.

More power to you and God bless!

Explained Qoutation During Culminating

“I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature. Let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I should not pass this way again.”

In relation to this qoute,
let me share something that I have done in life.
Despite of hardships, I tried to make a difference to my siblings.
Sending them to school and prioritizing their needs before mine are really a sacrifice
But at least I’ve been a part of what they are right now
Especially when they recall their life in the past.
Now, that I’m going to enter the seminary, at least,
I can say that I have done my part to help them.
That is my mission in life,
I was able to help them in the past when I still have the means.
There might come a time when I would not be able to extend my help.

I hope you learn something from my experience.

Summer Culminating Invocation

Good afternoon, please rise for the invocation.
Let’s put ourselves in the presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

Most gracious, Loving Father, the giver of all gifts
And the source of everything good, we thank you,
For the blessings you shower on us every day especially
For this special occasion celebrating our summer culminating affair today.
We thank you for the presence of everyone who is here to see
and hear us talking in front of our audience.

Loving Father, we ask your Holy Spirit to descend upon us to enlighten our minds
And inflame our hearts.
Let your Holy Spirit give us more self-confidence, fluency in speaking.
Help us put into practice what we have already learned in grammar & speech
Not only now but forever.

Almighty Father, we are offering this occasion to you today
For your greater honor and glory through Jesus Christ
our Lord and greatest teacher of all time. Amen

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

Granted letter

"Thanks God! With His divine providence this letter granted of whole year tuition and board & lodging in seminary paid by concerned foundation."

Wednesday, May 06, 2009

Mr. and Mrs. Juan Mercado
C/o Sister Helen, MC
Missionaries of Charity “Gasa sa Gugma”
Mabolo, Cebu City

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Mercado:

Ave Maria!

I am writing to your good office applying for sponsorship in my vocation.

I’m Marcelino Rapayla Jr., 37 years old. I was not able to finish my studies in college however; I’m fortunate I have reached my 3rd year in college in spite of the hardship that I have gone through in life. I took up Bachelor of Arts major in Industrial Psychology and I got a blue collar job in a private firm in which I had served for my 18 years. However, due to the present global recession, I’m one among the employees who were laid off on April 15, 2009. I kept moving on and continued my apostolate work in “gasa sa gugma” which started in August 2008 then, I pursued my dream to become a priest. I took up the phase 1 screening for applicants in Blessed John XXIII Seminary on March 07, 2009 and passed. By then, I was recommended to undergo the phase II screening on April 14-18, 2009 it’s a live-in orientation where the Fathers interviewed us and the seminarians who facilitated the activities evaluated our performance inside the seminary. Praise God! I passed again the phase II screening. The final list of applicants who passed in the said screening was posted in the rector’s corner in seminary on May 4, 2009.

I am now recommended for enrollment this school year for pre-college on May 18-22, 2009. Since my family cannot support me in pursuing my dream I plead for any support from those who have the benevolent heart to shoulder my financial needs such as; tuition fee, board and lodging, uniforms, books and miscellaneous (other expenses).

I want to give you a bit background of myself.
Way back at the age of eleven, believe it or not, I had been a scavenger once. I remember one time that I ate food thrown into the garbage because of hunger. And the money I earned from the scrapped materials I picked up supported me in my studies until I completed high school. I had lost a loved one, my mother, whose death took me a long time to recover. I was a breadwinner and sending my siblings to school, supporting them financially and giving them the motherly care were my priority. I also encountered heartaches when I got busted by the woman I loved. To improve my life I worked during the day and studied at night. To make my long story short, I was able to reach my studies in 3rd year of Industrial Psychology. I had experienced much sadness and hardships but all these paid off in my job as Production Operator. I was awarded as Best Production Operator of the Year (2003) and not only that I had been promoted to Engineering aide, then to Process Engineer, and lastly to Car Leader (program management position). Now that all of my siblings had their own job and some of them have their own family. I am now free like a bird, to fly in any direction. Presently, I choose not to work again for but I prefer to serve God by pursuing my long-time dream in life (since high school) of becoming a priest.

On my part, I pledge myself to be more conscientious in fulfilling the obligations of my state in life, and to strive to be a source of healing in this broken world of ours.

Sincerely yours,

Marcelino Rapayla Jr.

THE WORLD’S GREATEST MOTHER

“Hi! I would like to share with you some words about my Mother.”…Mars

My mother is the anchor of my life – my greatest supporter. I know that even during the time when everybody left me, and there were no friends to support me, she was always there behind me. Her heart understood when I needed a friend. Her strength and love guided me, and gave me wings to fly. She had taught me on how to stand in the midst of a storm, to make a difference and purpose in life.

Now, physically my mother is no longer by my side but what she had taught me has remained in my heart. What she had lit is still my guiding light throughout my journey in reaching the summit of my dream in life. I love her. May God give her everlasting peace and happiness to enjoy beside our creator.

Pedro Calungsod: The Young Martyr of the Visayas

by Louie Jon A. Sanchez, The Varsitarian

It has been more than a decade since the first Filipino saint was beatified. Lorenzo Ruiz. He was martyred in Nagasaki along with eight other Dominican priests. Since then, the Philippine Church has been paving the way for other noble Filipinos who, through their past heroic faith and courage, are deemed worthy of being officially proclaimed beatus, blessed. There are Ignacia del Espiritu Santo, founder of the Religious of the Virgin Mary, the largest religious congregation for women in the Philippines, and Francisca del Espiritu Santo, founder of the Dominican Sisters of Siena in the Philippines. Both women lived in the 17th century.
It was faith, and fate that brought them to the church's mission of evangelization. They came from all walks of life; regardless of color, wealth or origin, their missionary zeal stood as a living witness to the faith even at the point of death.
Pedro Calungsod, a 15th century Visayan, was no exception. At about 13 or 15, he was already helping in the local Jesuit catechesis. At 18, he was martyred "in hatred of the faith" by two Guam natives, while trying to protect Jesuit priest Diego Luis San Vitores. San Vitores was later beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1985.

The road to sainthood

For many years, the figure of Calungsod had been left to oblivion, until the Archdiocese of Manila pushed for his elevation to the pantheon of saints.
The Archdiocese of Cebu has been working on Calungsod's case since the 80's. It has included in its masses a prayer for beatification before the final blessing. A growing number of literature is also being produced about Calungsod.
Many devotees feel that Calungsod's beatification is imminent, in time for the several beatifications scheduled on the great Jubilee Year 2000.
A report published in Today newspaper said the vice postulator for Calungsod's beatification, Father Ildebrando Aliño Leyson, had recently been informed by the Roman Congregation for the Canonization of Saints, that the body would "take up the dossier on the young Filipino proto-martyr from the Visayas, formally discussing and passing at least a preliminary judgment on his case," an optimistic phase for Calungsod's speedy elevation. A plus factor in Calungsod's cause is that he died a teenager and he should thus stand as a model and inspiration for the Filipino youth. Calungsod is the perfect example to Pope John Paul II's idea of a youth dedicated to the Church's mission of evangelization.

Humble beginnings

Calungsod's beginnings haven't been solidly established, and there are disputes regarding his birthplace which could be Cebu, Bohol, or Iloilo, although the former already laid the process for beatification.
Based on accounts, Calungsod was taught in a Jesuit minor seminary in Loboc, Bohol. For young recruits like him, the training consisted of learning catechism, Spanish, and Latin. They would be later sent with the priests to the countryside to perform daily religious functions as altar boys or catechists. Some of them were even sent to missionary centers overseas to accompany the Jesuits in their arduous task of proclaiming the Good News and establishing the Catholic faith in foreign lands.

Heeding the call

On June 18, 1668, the zealous Jesuit superior San Vitores, answering a "special call," began a new mission composed of 17 young laymen and priests to the Isles de los Ladrones (The Robber Islands), which the Spaniard renamed as Marianas, after the Queen Maria Anan and the Virgin Mary.
The task of converting the islands was first successful. The missionaries reached out to the backward poblaciones and baptized over 13,000 natives. Capillas began to rise at various sites as Catholic instruction became extensive. A school and church were even built and dedicated to St. Ignatius of Loyola in the City of Agadna in the northeast. Calungsod and other young missionaries were instrumental in realizing the Jesuits noble objectives.
Dilemmas
The Marianas missions were eventually shaken by difficulties, conflicts of interests, and challenges from the natives themselves. Some converts broke away from the new faith and turned against the Jesuit for odd reasons, like fearing what some of the natives claimed as the "magical" rituals and ceremonies of the missionaries.
Choco, an influential Chinese who earlier came from a sunken wreck, misled the local folk about the religious practices of the priests, such as baptism, which he claimed to be a way of killing the children. He also claimed the Mass wine was poisonous. He was later arrested by San Vitores and converted to the faith.
Fierce native leaders made life hard for the Jesuits and their young helpers. Armed rebellions and movements took place in the localities. One major insurgency was the 40-day siege by a chieftain named Hurao of the Spanish garrison where the Jesuits were housed. The Spaniards overcame the insurrection and San Vitores revived their mission. The meek priest later forgave Hurao and asked authorities to release him.
The fighting did not stop there. The natives continuously seized and set afire the Spanish settlements. San Vitores and his companions were able to renew their evangelization only after a cease-fire agreement ended the hostilities.

Martyrdom

The Jesuit mission in Marianas gradually declined as member of the mission were killed.
On April 2, 1672, San Vitores and Calungsod went to Agadna after a mass, to baptized new-born children and to visit and bring back to the faith an elderly Filipino named Esteban, who was once hired by San Vitores as his tutor in the local dialect.
While passing in the area of Tumhon, the two encountered the native Matapang, who had converted to the faith but broke away after being influenced by anti-Christian macana groups. Matapang's wife had just given birth to a baby girl, and San Vitores offered her baptism. Matapang in disgust sent the priest and Calungsod away.
However, San Vitores and Calungsod stayed and went to the nearby beach. They gathered the children playing around and other adults for catechism. Like Christ gathering the little ones around him, San Vitores admonished Matapang to join them. Matapang resisted the call and left with a plan of getting back at the priest for good.
Matapang saw another native, Hirao, and asked for help in killing the priest and his companion. Hirao was at first hesitant, being aware of the priest's kindness. He even reminded Matapang of the big help San Vitores showed him when he was severely wounded. But Matapang was resolute and even convinced Hirao to turn against the priest. They looked for weapons and plotted the death of the missionaries.
Upon their return, Matapang and Hirao attacked Calungsod, but the young missionary was able to escape the spears aimed at him. He tried to get closer to San Vitores to protect the priest, until a spear suddenly pierced through his chest, wounding him. One of the killers breached his skill with a machete axe. the priest suffered the same fate, with only "May God have mercy on you," to utter.
News of the bloody sacrifice of the Jesuit missionary and his companion reached the Philippines and on May 3, 1672, a Te Deum and requiem was held in their memory in Manila.
Although he might have lived more than 300 years ago, Pedro Calungsod is perhaps representative of the Filipino's youth's dynamic commitment to the Catholic Church's mission of evangelization.
True "fishers of men" and "harvesters in the Lord's vineyard," modern day Pedro Calungsod are all around the globe. They risk their lives in foreign lands while proclaiming the Good News of salvation to everyone.

Praise God! I made it!

I went to Blessed John XXIII Seminary this morning to find out the result from our one week live-in orientation as phase II screening of applicants and Praise God! I am one of them listed in the final list of applicants who passed the evaluation made by fathers and seminarian who’s facilitated the activities. I am now recommended for enrolment of pre-college this school year 2009-2010 on May 18-22, 2009. As of this moment, I would like to take this opportunity to “thank you” those people who believed and prayed for me. For those who pledge to support my study I will continue praying that God pour out His blessings to you as you’ve shared to others tenfold in return.

The beauty of Life

The Beauty of Life
by Mars

Life is a beautiful journey, isn't it? But how could you see the beauty of it when in fact, life is full of struggles & miseries? By the way, what does life mean to you? For me, it is a journey filled with lessons, heartaches, hardships, joys, celebrations and special moments that will ultimately lead us to our destination, our purpose in life. The road is not always smooth; in fact, throughout our travel we will encounter many challenges.
Let me tell you some of my experiences: Believe it or not, I had been a scavenger once. I was awarded as Best Production Operator of the Year (2003) and not only that I’ve been promoted to Engineering aide, then to Process Engineer, and lastly to Car Leader (program management position). Now that all of my siblings had their own job and some of them have had their own family. I am now free like a bird, fly at any direction I want but I choice to quit my job and preferred to serve God, I am currently volunteering every Sunday by giving apostolate to the youth in “Gasa sa Gugma”, Mabolo, Cebu City and will enter at Seminary on June 12, 2009 to study Priesthood.
You know what; through the years of surviving I've realized that life is a matter of choice whether to live or to give up. And in my case, I chose to live and survive because I believe that if I give up, I would never see the purpose that a waits to be discovered in every trial. If I say it's over, I would never experience ultimate happiness, if I never had the courage to face the challenges one could ever feel. Therefore, I could definitely say that the beauty in life will not be seen by simply living it. You could appreciate it much if you’re willing to confront and face the challenges. Let your hope, not your hurts, shape your future.

We are called to be His living witness

Napaeskwela ko sila ug milangpos, ang dako nga bunga sa akong sakripisyo mao nga akong silang natudloon kun unsaon "pag-survive in this broken world of ours using on their own resources with Love and faith in God."
Ug karon buot ko kining ipaambit sa tibook katawhan sa Dios nga "we are called to be His living witness."

Message for married Couple

God, help me every day to treat my wife the way I did when we were dating
and when we first got married. We kissed. We held hands. We looked into
each other's eyes. We hugged every time we saw each other. I told her how
wonderful she was. I was gentle and kind. I arranged for times together
with candlelight, firelight, moonlight. I played "our songs." I sent her
cards. I called her often. God, help me to let her know every day how much
I love her.

I want to become a Priest

I'm just a servant responding the call of God to serve His people. I started serving in my family as a breadwinner, sending my siblings to school and providing their basic needs. Now, that they have stable job and some of them have family already, I'm starting serving other people in slum area by giving apostolate of the youth and volunteer in missionaries of charity however, i can serve well if i become a priest, preaching the words of God in a huge of people, sharing the message of Love. Being a seminarian is a stepping stone to make it realize but i can't make it alone.

I am sending this message/note to you because I need someone to be my partner, whose supporting my financial need for tuition, board and lodging, projects and books in seminary.

If you feel that God touching you and you're willing to help. You can leave your contact information through comments here where I can contact you or you can simply email me jomar_cool@yahoo.com.

In other hand, let me share with you the funny moment during our recreation day. It was my first time playing basketball, I am guarding one of my oponent (big boy) and while his teamate shot the ball, i made a rebound and got the ball and try to shot on that ring also...my teamate shouted me.."no its not our ring!" Hahahaha....anyway, that was a resulted of lacking information, I play without knowing which is my assigned basketball ring... now I knew.

Also, I felt different joy staying in seminary and doing apostolate in "Gasa sa Gugma" (Gift of love), a home for the aged and destitute, in Barangay Luz, Cebu City. I haven't been found it in my 18 years in service working in American Company (Lear Corporation). However, I'm grateful and fortunate being employed in that firm because as a breadwinner of the family I made realize my dream for them specifically to my siblings, to finish their study and land them in a stable employer. Now, all of them are employed already and except of our younger sister all of them have their owned family.

Now, the time has come to work on my respond on His call (since high school).

"Let love heal all our wounds from yesterday and let joy make its abode in us."

Who Am I

Now, we know who we are ( a sinners) but still he loves us, he died and to save's us. and not only that He promise to hear us when we're calling him.

My friend, please let me to share this; who you are and where you are right now, how heavy is your cross or the burden you have right now. please do not lost your Hope, continue to knock the door of mercy and you'll be opened. His there standing beside you, let him know my friends what's in your heart.

Stay with me, Lord

Prayer of St. Pio of Pietrelcina after Holy Communion

Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have

You present so that I do not forget You.

You know how easily I abandon You.

Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak and I need Your strength, that I may not fall so often.

Stay with me, Lord, for You are my life, and without You, I am without fervor.

Stay with me, Lord, for You are my light, and without You, I am in darkness.

Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will.

Stay with me, Lord, so that I hear Your voice and follow You.

Stay with me, Lord, for I desire to love You very much, and always be in Your company.

Stay with me, Lord, if You wish me to be faithful to You.

Stay with me, Lord, for as poor as my soul is, I want it to be a place of consolation for You, a nest of love.

Stay with me, Jesus, for it is getting late and the day is coming to a close, and life passes; death, judgment, eternity approaches. It is necessary to renew my strength, so that I will not stop along the way and for that, I need You. It is getting late and death approaches, I fear the darkness, the temptations, the dryness, the cross, the sorrows. O how I need You, my Jesus, in this night of exile!

Stay with me tonight, Jesus, in life with all it’s dangers. I need You.

Let me recognize You as Your disciples did at the breaking of the bread, so that the Eucharistic Communion be the Light which disperses the darkness, the force which sustains me, the unique joy of my heart.

Stay with me, Lord, because at the hour of my death, I want to remain united to You, if not by communion, at least by grace and love.

Stay with me, Jesus, I do not ask for divine consolation, because I do not merit it, but the gift of Your Presence, oh yes, I ask this of You!

Stay with me, Lord, for it is You alone I look for, Your Love, Your Grace, Your Will, Your Heart, Your Spirit, because I love You and ask no other reward but to love You more and more. With a firm love, I will love You with all my heart while on earth and continue to love You perfectly during all eternity. Amen

Look up for future

Wala lang heheheh just in case if I have curly jamaican hair, maybe it look like this one. What do you think?

Anyway, I'm trying to portray some insights in life. We need to pause for awhile and look up in the future. Lets try to ask ourselves, what we have done good for others? Because our final destiny is Heaven and the only ticket to enter the gate is to "Love One Another." It is broad but you can do it in your own interpretation guided by this biblical verse John 15:9-12.

Life After Death Experience

http://www.stmarymacclenny.com/story.html

I was born on July 16, 1949 in Kerala, India to my parents, Joseph and Theresa Maniyangat. I am the eldest of seven children: Jose, Mary, Theresa, Lissama, Zachariah, Valsa and Tom.
At the age of fourteen, I entered St. Mary’s minor seminary in Thiruvalla to begin my studies for the priesthood. Four years later I went to St. Joseph’s Pontifical Major Seminary in Alwaye, Kerala to continue my priestly formation. After completing the seven years of Philosophy and Theology I was ordained a priest on January 1, 1975 to serve as a missionary at the Diocese of Thiruvalla.
In 1978 while teaching at the St. Thomas minor seminary in Bathery, I became an active member of the Charismatic Renewal movement and began conducting charismatic retreats and conferences in Kerala.
On Sunday April 14, 1985, the Feast of the Divine Mercy, I was going to celebrate Mass at a mission church in the north part of Kerala, and I had a fatal accident. I was riding a motorcycle when I was hit head-on by a jeep driven by a man who was intoxicated after a Hindu festival. I was rushed to a hospital about 35 miles away. On the way my soul came out from my body and I experienced death. Immediately I met my Guardian angel. I saw my body and the people who were carrying me to the hospital. I heard them crying and praying for me. At this time my angel told me: “I am going to take you to Heaven, the Lord wants to meet you and talk with you”. He also said that on the way he wanted to show me hell and purgatory.
First, the angel escorted me to hell. It was an awful sight! I saw Satan and the devils, an unquenchable fire of about 2,000 Fahrenheit degrees, worms crawling, people screaming and fighting, others being tortured by demons. The angel told me that all these sufferings were due to unrepented mortal sins. Then, I understood that there are seven degrees of suffering or levels according to the number and kinds of mortal sins committed in their earthly lives. The souls looked very ugly, cruel and horrific. It was a fearful experience. I saw people whom I knew but I am not allowed to reveal their identities. The sins that convicted them were mainly abortion, homosexuality, euthanasia, hatefulness, unforgiveness and sacrilege. The angel told me that if they had repented they would have avoided hell and gone instead to purgatory. I also understood that some people who repent from these sins might be purified on earth through their sufferings. This way they can avoid purgatory and go straight to heaven.
I was surprised when I saw in hell even Priests and Bishops, some of whom I never expected to see. Many of them were there because they had misled the people with false teaching and bad example.
After the visit to hell, my Guardian angel escorted me to Purgatory. Here too, there are seven degrees of suffering and unquenchable fire. But it is far less intense than hell and there was neither quarreling nor fighting. The main suffering of these souls is their separation from God. Some of those who are in Purgatory committed numerous mortal sins; but they were reconciled with God before their death. Even though these souls are suffering, they enjoy peace and the knowledge that one day they will see God face to face.
I had a chance to communicate with the souls in Purgatory. They asked me to pray for them and to tell the people to pray for them as well, so they can go to heaven quickly. When we pray for these souls we will receive their gratitude through their prayers and once they enter heaven their prayers become even more meritorious.
It is difficult for me to describe how beautiful my Guardian angel is. He is radiant and bright. He is my constant companion and helps me in all my ministries, especially my healing ministry. I experience his presence everywhere I go and I am grateful for his protection in my daily life.
Next, my angel escorted me to heaven passing through a big dazzling white tunnel. I never experienced this much peace and joy in my life. Then immediately the heaven opened up and I heard the most delightful music, which I never heard before. The angels were singing and praising God. I saw all the saints, especially the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph, and many dedicated holy Bishops and Priests who were shining like stars. And when I appeared before the Lord, Jesus told me: “I want you to go back to the world. In your second life you will be an instrument of peace and healing to my people. You will walk in a foreign land and you will speak in a foreign tongue. Everything is possible for you with my grace”. After these words, the Blessed
Mother told me: “Do whatever He tells you. I will help you in your ministries”.
Words can not express the beauty of heaven. There we find so much peace and happiness, which exceed a million times our imagination. Our Lord is far more beautiful than any image can convey. His face is radiant and luminous and more beautiful than a thousand rising suns. The pictures we see in the world are only a shadow of His magnificence. The Blessed Mother was next to Jesus; she was so beautiful and radiant. None of the images we see in this world can compare with her real beauty. Heaven is our real home, we are all created to reach heaven and enjoy God forever. Then, I came back to the world with my angel.
While my body was at the hospital, the doctor completed all examinations and I was pronounced dead. The cause of death was bleeding. My family was notified and since they were far away, the hospital staff decided to move my dead body to the morgue. Because the hospital did not have air conditioners they were concerned that the body would decompose quickly. As they were moving my dead body to the morgue, my soul came back to the body. I felt an excruciating pain because of so many wounds and broken bones. I began to scream and then the people became frightened and ran away screaming. One of them approached the doctor and said: “the dead body is screaming”. The doctor came to examine the body and found that I was alive. So he said: “Father is alive, it is a miracle, take him back to the hospital”.
Now, back at the hospital, they gave me blood transfusions and I was taken to surgery to repair the broken bones. They worked on my lower jaw, ribs, pelvic bone, wrists, and right leg. After two months, I was released from the hospital, but my orthopedic doctor said that I would never walk again. I then said to him: “ the Lord who gave me my life back and sent me back to the world will heal me”. Once at home we were all praying for a miracle. Still after a month and with the casts removed I was not able to move. But one day while praying I felt an extraordinary pain in my pelvic area. After a short while the pain disappeared completely and I heard a voice saying: “You are healed. Get up and walk”. I felt the peace and healing power on my body. I immediately got up and walked. I praised and thanked God for the miracle.
I reached my doctor with the news of my healing and he was amazed. He said: “your God is the true God. I must follow your God”. The doctor was Hindu and he asked me to teach him about our Church. After studying the faith, I baptized him and he became Catholic.
Following the message from my Guardian angel, I came to the United States on November 10, 1986 as a missionary Priest. First, I worked in the Diocese of Boise, Idaho from 1987 to 1989 and then became the Director of Prison Ministry in the Diocese of Orlando, Florida from 1989 to 1992.
In 1992, I came to the Diocese of St. Augustine where I was first assigned to St. Matthew's Parish in Jacksonville for two years. I was then appointed Parochial Vicar of Assumption Church from 1994 to 1999. In 1997 I was incardinated as a permanent member of the Diocese. Since June 1999, I have been pastor of St. Mary's Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Macclenny, Florida. I also serve as the Catholic Chaplain for Florida State Prison in Starke, Union Correctional Institution in Raiford and Northeast Florida State Hospital in Macclenny. I am also the Diocesan Spiritual Director of the Legion of Mary.
On the first Saturday of each month I conduct a Eucharistic and charismatic-healing ministry in my Parish, St. Mary Mother of Mercy. People come from all over the diocese, many parts of Florida and even from out of the state. I have been invited to conduct the healing ministry in other major cities of the United States including: New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, San Jose, Dallas, Chicago, Birmingham, Denver, Boise, Idaho Falls, Hawaii, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Poolsville; and many other countries: Ireland, Spain, Czech Republic, India, France, Portugal, Yugoslavia, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Cayman Island, and Ontario.
Through this Eucharistic-healing ministry I have seen many people healed physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally. People with various illnesses such as: cancer, AIDs, arthritis, heart conditions, eye problems, emphysema, asthma, back pains, bad hearing and many others have been healed completely. In addition, several times during the year I conduct a special healing service for the healing of the family tree, in which the effects from ancestral sins are blocked and the person receives complete healing. Scripture says that the effects from family sins can linger around for three to five generations (Exodus Chapter 34 verse 7). So, in many cases we need generational healing. Doctors and medicines do not help to heal certain sicknesses caused by our family tree.
During the Healing ministry, many people rest in the spirit before the Blessed Sacrament and some experience renewal of the soul and healing of the body.
